On behalf of our partner, a well-known financial investor, we are currently looking for a

Solution Engineer (Python) to their Budapest site.

Main tasks:

• Participate in the development and maintenance of a large-scale, distributed storage platform.
• Interact with the users of the system to understand their use-cases and assist them in making the best use of the tools and platforms
• Research best practices and propose feature specifications for the platform roadmap
• Develop and maintain features and tools that complement the core platform offering
• Provide technical support, diagnosing the root causes of technical problems and suggesting appropriate solutions.

The ideal candidate:

• Has university Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Has at least 5 years of work experience gained at similar field
• Possesses strong (English) communications skills and experience working in a global environment
• Is experienced in Software Life Cycle management methodologies and tools, including Git and JIRA (required)
• Expertise in Python.   C/C++ including STL, and/or Go is a plus.
• Experienced with UNIX/Linux (required).
• Is familiar with the design and development of large-scale, distributed storage systems (desirable)
• Has Experience acting in a product owner or technical sales engineer role (desirable)
