Our multinational client is expanding its team with a Romanian speaking Chief Accountant. In this position you will perform day-to-day and closing-activities with full ownership of the processes.

The main tasks involve:

- execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with month-end close checklist

- Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet

- Take responsibility of all Internal Controls of Financial Reporting 

documentation

- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation

- Perform Cash flow management 

- Take responsibility for all management accounting aspects i.e. Period cost allocation

- Support the preparation of the statutory taxes calculations and reconciliation, including tax reporting and liaising with Local Tax Function

- Full coordination of audit and the gathering of required audit information, preparation of financial statements

What makes you the best candidate?

- At least 5-8 years of experience in finance and accounting field

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit and taxation

- Proficiency in English and Romanian

- IFRS knowledge

- Knowledge of local accounting principles is considered an advantage
