Our client is a global oil and gas company with a well-established presence in Hungary. They are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Marine Claims Analyst to join their team in Budapest’s 13th district. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, international corporate environment within the marine claims field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for vessel owners and customers filing marine claims to the company
• Communicate claim receipt to relevant Business Lines
• Validate supporting documentation submitted with claims
• Log all claims in the internal vessel management system
• Assign claims to the appropriate Marine Claims Analyst
• Assist management and claims advisors with regular and ad-hoc reporting tasks
• Retrieve weekly demurrage rates for pooled vessels (using Worldscale or similar tools)
• Investigate and follow up on problematic or missing items
• Identify and contribute to work process improvements
• Process payments for streamlined claim scenarios

Required Skills:

• Fluent spoken English
• Intermediate PC literacy and solid MS Office skills
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving mindset
• Clear and professional communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated approach and eagerness to learn
• No formal degree required, but may be an advantage
