Our partner, a company specializing in the development of self-driving cars and artificial intelligence, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Budapest-based team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the upkeep, administration, and performance tuning of physical servers and storage systems located in on-premises server rooms and colocation facilities
- Setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting network components such as switches, wireless access points, cabling, and server rack infrastructure
- Supporting IT security initiatives to ensure a robust and secure infrastructure environment
- Deploying, managing, and optimizing virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V
- Administering both Linux and Windows servers to support a variety of operational workloads
- Researching, designing, and implementing effective storage and backup solutions
- Managing and maintaining cloud-based services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience managing physical servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
- Is familiar with network configuration and troubleshooting
- Has hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
- Has experience configuring and managing both Linux and Windows server environments
- Experience with open-source virtualization solutions is highly valued
- Proficiency in Bash scripting is required
