We are looking for a French speaking Chief Accountant to join the Budapest team of one of our international clients. What will be your main tasks?

• Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks to guarantee the accounts are closed accurately and on time, following the month-end close checklist.
• Ensuring Financial Accuracy and Internal Controls: Overseeing the accuracy of financial records and maintaining internal controls.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Reporting: Performing balance sheet reconciliations, correcting discrepancies, and ensuring timely and high-quality financial statement reporting for month-end and year-end closings.
• Accounting Management: Handling various accounting tasks such as IFRS 16 Leasing, manual journal entries, and management accounting activities.
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Managing cash flow and treasury activities, including fund forecasting, transfers, and banking transactions.
• Tax and Audit Oversight: Supervising statutory tax calculations, reconciliations, and reporting, while liaising with Tax Consultants and managing external financial audits.
• Financial Compliance Management: Ensuring financial compliance and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.

We are looking for you if, you have:

• At least 6-8 years of experience in E2E accounting, audit support and in relevant finance positions in a multinational work environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit, and taxation, including IFRS accounting principles as advantage
• SAP knowledge
• Fluent English and French skills
• Finance/Accounting degree (ACCA or other qualifications are a huge plus)
• And you live in Budapest or nearby and can you come to the office twice a week (Sorry, we can't wait for the work permit papers, relocation, etc. this time.)
