Our client is a well - known company in tourism and is currently looking for a Senior Controller for the following tasks:



  • Responsible for all controlling & reporting deliverables and requirements (treasury, sales, prepayment, profitability, liquidity report etc.)
  • Ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements are delivered timely and accurately (month-end, quarterly, half year, year-end, forecast, budget etc.) in accordance with group reporting calendar
  • Data warehouse management (data quality & integrity), data analysis/business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Preparation of simulation files with key KPIs (sales, gross margin, EBITA)
  • Ensuring comprehensive analysis of financial results, identifying trends and ensuring transparency of financial processes
  • Support senior management on key topics, report on operational performance and provide insight into key areas
  • Financial and business process improvement (digitalization & automation projects)
  • Manage risk and opportunities for the company and ensure financial control/integrity of the balance sheet
  • Guarantee the compliance of financial processes with applicable local and international legal and tax regulations and REWE Group guidelines
  • Risk management: identification and assessment of financial risks for the source market, including currency risk and strategic risks
  • Communication: regular communication with EEU HQ finance team, collaboration with other departments to ensure consistency and coordination in finance
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support during audits
  • Carrying out ad hoc tasks based on management instructions


Requirements


  • Experience in the field of financial management, controlling & reporting of a medium company of at least 5 years
  • Master´s or Bachelor´s degree in finance, economics and business
  • English language – advanced and active knowledge in spoken and written form (level B2-C1)
  • Knowledge of the tax and legal environment in Hungary
  • Very good knowledge of PC work, esp. MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP and tour operator industry is a plus
  • Business acumen, results orientation, flexibility & responsibility
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under time pressure
  • Positive attitude within the work team
  • Ability to work in an international environment
