About the role
As a Card Payment Product Manager you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, roadmap and execution for payment processing technology at the company. Your main goal will be making sure that the payments are easier and more transparent for your colleauges and customers. You will be the payment domain expert for the company.
Responsibilities
- Drive Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product roadmap for payment processing technology.
- Ensure Better Payments: Make payments better for customers and simpler for colleagues.
- Act as Domain Expert: Collaborate across teams and partners, handling trade-offs and engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Control Payment Lifecycle: Protect customer data and enable innovation through a developer-friendly, omnichannel retail platform.
- Deliver with Speed and Impact: Initiate product discovery and identify opportunities for desirable, feasible, and viable increments.
- Own Card Settlement Capabilities: Manage and grow the settlement gateway, processing over 2.5 billion transactions annually.
- Engage with Acquiring Partners: Maintain technical relationships and ensure adherence to regulatory and scheme mandates.
- Contribute to Payment Strategy: Work on new payment experiences, the future of card payments, open banking, native wallets, and closed loop schemes.
You will be part of a cross-functional Agile team, working with engineers, product managers, and program managers. The company's payment products include card payment readers, cash acceptance, digital checkouts, payment gateways, payment data security, payment history, and a company wallet.
You will need
- Strong Payments Experience: Expertise in EU Payment Gateway, PSP, Acquirer, Scheme.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and ensure adherence to regulatory and scheme mandates.
- Ecosystem Experience: Worked with multiple acquirers.
- Industry Connections: Well-connected across the payments industry.
- Retail Change Management: Delivered change in retail (in-store, online).
- API/Platform Leadership: Led API or platform products.
- Stakeholder Management: Efficient in managing stakeholders.
- Influence and Guidance: Able to guide partner product teams.
- Process Optimization: Skilled in business process mapping and workflow optimization.
- Technical Proficiency: Understand solution context and trade-offs in software development.
- Scalable Services: Built scalable, resilient transactional services.
- Objective Achievement: Demonstrates progress against objectives and key results.
