Our international banking partner is looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist to join their team. Locally based organisation with a small operation is constantly growing, therefore they are looking to expand their compliance team. To fill this position, professional experience in the field and active English language skills are essential as you will be working with international team members on a daily basis.
Due to the small size of the organisation, the position offers the opportunity to have an insight into broad and wide-ranging processes at an international level, being involved in many aspects of the operation.
What tasks can the prospective employee expect:
- Participate in the development and enforcement of policies and regulations for banking activities
- Responsibilities include managing conflicts of interest, reporting and investigating incidents, providing advice to partner departments in relation to their own areas
- Develops existing policies, assists in the harmonisation of local and international rules when they are amended
- Actively participate in regulatory and other third party audit processes
- Actively participates in training of staff on compliance issues, developing a compliance culture within the organisation
What is needed to fill the position:
- Relevant university qualifications (law or related financial degree)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the field
- Knowledge of financial sector, investment services regulations
- Active knowledge of English
- Open, communicative personality, good problem solving skills
